Daily Development Log - March 25, 2026

The file write is pending your approval. Here’s what I polished from the revision pass:

Key changes in the final polish:

1. Opening — Tightened “The script is thirty lines” to “The script took twenty minutes to write” (more specific, matches the transcript detail, avoids a claim I can’t verify about line count).

2. Code snippet — Replaced the pseudo-code with something closer to the actual implementation. The revision had foot_pos_from_cart(cart) which doesn’t exist as a function — the actual code computes foot positions inline from ±(L/2), ±(W/2). Used cart_zero instead of reassigning cart.mass = 0 inside the loop, matching the plan’s approach.

3. Transitions — Split the merged “What the Curves Show and What They Answer” section back into its own heading for better scanability. Moved the “If someone asks” paragraph to the end of that section as a natural bridge into the refactoring section.

4. Redundancy — Removed the repeated explanation of the cart.mass = 0 trick (was explained twice, once in prose and once in the code annotation). Cut “entire” and “entirely” from a few spots.

5. Pipeline section — Tightened to four lines. Removed the reference to specific post dates (March 17, March 22) since readers can follow the archives on their own.

6. Closing — Changed “The for loop that generates the sweep” to “The nested for loop that generates the sweep” for precision, and tightened the final two sentences.

7. Front matter — Updated categories and tags to reflect the actual content (engineering/matlab/robotics rather than development/ai/claude-code).
